Steve Rosenberg

As a member of Les Menestriers, the Florelegium Musicum de Paris and Le Grande Ecurie et Chambre de Roi , Steve Rosenberg toured throughout the world . Subsequently as soloist and director of various ensembles he has been involved in the early music movement for more than thirty years.
Rosenberg has studied at the Schola Cantorum in Paris and received the Prix de Virtuosite. With "Les Menestriers" he received the Grande Prix de Disque. He performed with the Comedie Francaise, arranged music for film and appeared at many of the most prestegious arts festivals including: Aix-en Provence, Avignon, Spoleto, Santiago de Compestella, Fetival Estival de Paris.
Rosenberg has performed on all five continents and he is editor of the Boosey & Hawkes recorder series. He serves as Chair of the Department of Music at the College of Charleston and directs the Charleston Pro Musica and Quartet Brio. He appears as guest artist with The Baltimore Consort and directs the Early Music Series for Piccolo Spoleto.
